The 2005 Ford Ranger is relatively unchanged from the previous year’s version. It still comes in the traditional regular and supercab body styles. The supercab models have optional rear fold-down jump seats. Supercabs also have optional rear-hinged back doors.
Regular cabs have either a 6 foot or a 7 foot bed. Supercabs come standard with the 6 foot bed. Engine come in a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder, 3.0 liter 6 cylinder, or a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder. All models are equipped with either a manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. 4 wheel drive is also an optional feature, otherwise the Ranger is front wheel drive.
Other than the optional leather interior, the 2005 Ford Ranger is a very basic truck with few options.
The 2005 Ranger is a light duty option for those who just need a small bed to haul small items and are not recommended for heavy hauling or towing.
